NetApp: OCI Balance

NetApp wanted to raise awareness among IT professionals that NetApp OnCommand Insight: Balance is a state-of-the-art solution for catching server performance “killers.” They wanted to wrap highly informative content inside a parody of CSI: Miami that would be highly entertaining. We created a five minute video that presented a fast but comprehensive forensic procedural story arc that used NetApp software to solve the crime. The parody drove the humor, but we used the show’s forensic lab settings and highly stylized “techno-speak” to perfectly deliver product messages within the context of the story. The video was a huge hit at the customer launch and continues to attract YouTube viewers by the thousands.
