
Synaptics needed a video to help launch a breakthrough touch control technology they had developed for Nokia’s latest flagship smartphone. For the first time, users could interact seamlessly with mobile phone touch screens while wearing gloves or with long fingernails. Synaptics wanted to expand their target audience beyond OEM’s and the technology media to include consumers.
Pacific Media concepted and produced a video that would engage each of their targeted audiences. The video was designed to deliver a high energy, commercial tone while providing just enough technical detail to whet the technology media’s interest and reinforce OEM customer awareness of Synaptic’s position as the innovation leader of the touch technology industry.
Nokia and Synaptics used the video throughout the launch period to successfully excite and inform audiences to the new touch technology capability. The video also garnered a 2013 Communicator Award for Marketing Communication excellence.
